The Full Tuition Scholarship is available for first-time college students and students transferring to SMC from another college. It is only available for students taking on-campus classes.
It's important to know that SMC, like most colleges, applies your South Carolina LIFE Scholarship and South Carolina Tuition Grant, plus any additional federal- or state-funded grants/scholarships, toward the cost of your tuition. We then add SMC funds to your federal and state grants to completely cover the cost of SMC tuition.
Here's a very general example of how we cover your tuition:
$16,200 (SMC's 2022-2023 tuition)
- $5,000 (Your Pell grant for 2022-2023)
- $5,000 (Your SC Life Scholarship)
